Solid EDC For Me
This knife was gifted to me over 10 years ago and I've kept it with me almost every day since. The one time I ended up unable to locate it, I purchased it again and ended up finding the original again. Ended up giving it to my ex.The grip has never failed me and the distinct texture is easy for me to identify should I need to grab it out of a bag. It's rather slim in profile and has never bothered me while hooked in my pocket. The blade is sharp enough to do what I need out of the box and the original has held up well. Never had an issue with any of the fasteners loosening up.Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a small blade to carry around!

My favorite.
I am a rancher and have cycled through lots of pocket knives. This knife is hands down the best one I’ve ever had. I’ve even owned a bench made knife and this one is better. I love the tanto style blade and also that it is partially serrated. I have beaten this knife to hell and it holds up. It stays in my pocket with the clip. Excellent quality, durability, everything! Highly recommend.

Superb product
Wow - what a great price for an exceptional knife. I am a bit of a knife collector in my own mind and this is my go to. I have a couple Benchmade spring loaded and spring assists but none of them work as well as this. The knife is EXTREMELY sharp and holds that edge very well. I use this for a lot of different things and probably abuse it more than one should ever abuse a knife, but this Kershaw really stands up to the test.I have three of these knifes in my family. No, not because they are bad but I want one handy when I need it and my son carries one now to. At 11 years old, he can handle this knife with ease. It opens smoothly for him and is not a challenge when closing. The self blade locking mechanism has never failed me when dry, wet, full of sand or dirt, it has worked every time. When I pull this knife out to use, I know I can concentrate on the task and not wonder if the blade will close, if the handle will slip, is the knife share enough? Those never cross my mind and I just know it will work.I recently wanted to test the waters with sending a knife in for warranty work. Living in Oregon, I had hoped the company would live up to the Oregon standard of support and they did? The ease of sending the knife in was astonishing. Go to a web site, fill in a form, it prints two copies one for me and one for the box. I even had the option to print a UPS shipping label for a reduced cost - which I took advantage of.Sent the knife in and the only thing was I had nicked the blade doing what you should never do with a knife, pyring something. Two weeks later, the knife was in my mailbox, securely packaged and my knife looked and acted as if it was a brand new knife!I would, and probably will, purchase this knife again.

Light, durable, and feature rich tool... at a price that is hard to beat!
I don't carry for self defense, I carry it primarily as a tool. As such I vastly prefer the "combo" half straight, half serrated edge style and something resembling a "tanto" design. This knife is perfect in those regards! The hybrid drop/tanto design means that in an emergency I can cut the seat belt off of someone, including myself, with a reduced risk of a cutting injury. The blade is as sharp as you would ever want one, out of the box, and the combo means that even if the straight blade is dull, serrations need a LOT of abuse before they will let you down. I've carried this style of blade for years and whether it's cutting fabric, zip ties, boxes, or even trimming electrical wire (the serrations are great for this, with plenty of careful practice). Serrations get completely dull? At this price I'd just buy another one!"Speed safe" is excellent and I doubt very much I'll ever go back to a non-assisted folder. I AM used to using thumb studs and am of the opinion that they provide a safer grip than the "flipper" style. A knife with both would make me happy. If the Cryo was an ounce lighter, the same weight at the Kuro, I would have purchased a combo version of it instead. That said, the flipper is small, low profile, and works quite well... with some practice (for my fellow thumb stud lovers). The glass filled nylon is much lighter than the full steel used in most knives in this price range and is comfortable to carry all day long without feeling weighted down by it. The texturing adds grip, especially important if it's already covered in something slippery like diesel fuel, mud, or blood (?) and manages to do so while adding a unique, interesting touch to the over all appearance. This would easily be a five star review, especially considering the absurdly low price, if it only had two things... the first, not critical enough that I would remove a star just for it (maybe half a star off), is the lack of a thumb stud. Second, and the one that really irked me, is the lack of standardized phillips head screws on the clip! Or, Kershaw could have included an appropriate size allen head wrench WITH the knife! How much would that have cost? Fifty cents more?Still, I'm quite pleased with my purchase!
