Well above Awesome, with a few issues of concern
The hardware on this device is incredible, truly a bargain at three times the price. The software, well not so much, don't get me wrong, the Lollipop is a real Android OS (many imported phones are reskinned over Kit Kat to look like Lollipop) it is the added software that is the issue. There are several programs that will load on bootup that are known malware and will eat your battery and can lead to privacy issues so be careful what you allow to run. Another concern is how the factory installed Apps are configured, they are listed as system apps, and even though the phone is unlocked, you can not remove them (or even disable them) without rooting the phone.Rooting is easy and info on how to do it or find someone that will is readily available online, keep in mind that the one click root tools do not function with this phone so don't waste your time or money on those tools.Biggest concern is with any company that would allow a product that exceeds hardware expectations for a price point leave the factory with truly bad added programs installed. Yes I have attempted to contact Lenovo but still no reply.

Pre-loaded with viruses/malware. You get what you pay for.
So, I'm pretty impressed with the phone. For the most part it is a great design, easy to use and hold, great options and settings in the phone, and I love the cameras. The back plate is as thin as paper though, so you should get a case.I keep getting pop-up ads when use the phone...my browser (chrome) will automatically change the page every minute or so. Come to find out, Lenovo apparently ships malware/spam on their phones, (or your seller could have put worse programs on it) and the worst part is rooting the phone wont even fix the issues. I already know the twitter app and youtube app that come stock are confirmed as malware... If you root it, the malware code is written into important system files/apps and cannot be removed without impairing the function of the phone. You have to leave some spam apps to use this phone. The only other option is to flash the phone with a fresh, modded operating system, which is fine, but also a pain in the butt. The box should have just said "Does not come with OS" and that would have been fine. I'm extremely disappointed in Lenovo for installing viruses and malware on THEIR OWN PRODUCTS to make an extra marketing buck. Disgraceful. And even more a shame, because this phone is REALLY GOOD, I just wish I could delete the malware manually and not have to root or flash the phone to ensure my privacy.I thought Lenovo made good products because the ThinkPad and IdeaPad laptop series were some of the most impressive on the market, specs, price and durrability-wise. I just found out, Lenovo just bought IBM's good idea and hard work for those laptops. So in reality, Lenovo was never that good. I thought I'd take a chance, and I honestly feel like they've spit in my face as a consumer by not taking customer security seriously and allowing these scam companies to place advertisements in their phone's OS code. I paid for the phone, why are there still commercials?

Known Hardware Issues - Do Not Buy!!
This phone was awesome; it was fantastic, great, until it wasn't. The hardware points to a real flagship killer with Lenovo checking all the right boxes - dual sim, fast processor, great screen, good camera, radio, world phone, great speakers, noise cancelling, long battery life. They also checked another box that makes this a no-go - Hardware/Software bugs. The first issue I ran across that almost drove me crazy is with the GPS. The GPS just did not track correctly. It failed to keep up and often times placed you off the road making turns that you didn't. Navigation via phone was thus impossible. I later discovered that Waze somehow does a better job than Google maps and it may be related to how the hardware is used by google maps. Super Frustrating!!My latest issue that has rendered the phone useless is phantom touches on the touch screen. It will register frequent randomly placed touches once the screen is on. Sometimes you may be lucky and get a few hours where this doesn't happen but when it does, the phone is unusable. Restarting doesn't appear to help and many on the net have reported similar issues. It appears to be some kind of defect. I would suggest you buy some other phone. This one while a great contender on paper is rubbish.ALSO - - - Lenovo doesn't honor the Warranty in the US. At first they sent me to the support team which bounced my request around six times till I got frustrated. When I tweeted about their support they sent me this website, saying phones and tablets are not covered under the Interational Warranty service [...]
