After 1.5 weeks of wearing the product, I have already lost 1 inch off my waist. Everything that's said about it in terms of the positive is true. I went from a 33 inch to 32 inch waist in one week of usage. The rubber backing really gets the job done, nothing but pure sweat. The outer covering is really nice and smooth The waist trimmer adheres to your waist, regardless of the size. My waist is curvy like a hour glass so the waist trimmer curves along with it. While working out, the Velcro holds up, there's no slipping off or sliding down or coming apart (like many other velcro adhering products that I've experience), it stays right where you place it. As you adjust it to your preference it stays in place. Now depending on what exercise I'm doing at the fitness club, the trimmer may curl as I'm curling my lower bottom, however, as I straighten it straightens (naturally, right) back in place. I don't have to re-adjust it to my waist due to the adherence of the Velcro. The nature of the Velcro is very strong in its adherence properties. I personally wear it against my body to get the maximum affect, however, as you well now you can wear it over your fitness outfit and allow your clothes to absorb the sweat. The quality is pretty good for the price (it's not a cheap looking or feeling product) its sturdy and supportive of my lower back, which is very important due to my lower back disc herniation. I have already suggested this product to some of my patients and co-workers, simply because it really is an excellent product. In terms of cleaning it, I only clean the inner side, the rubber with soap and warm water with a towel, nothing fancy. I do this as soon as I get home because of the salt content in the sweat. Our sweat contains lots of salt so the trimmer is probably designed to eliminate the water and the salt from the body to maintain Homeostasis while working out. A sweat rate of 1 liter per hour would thus cause a salt loss of 27- 40 grams for a 12 hour workout without the trimmer, so you can imagine how much more you can loose with the waist trimmer, just keep taking in your water. So as you see you need to clean the trimmer after each work out because over time the salt will eventually damage the trimmer and you don't want that to happen. After cleaning just leave it open either flat or over the back of a chair or something like that, rubber side up. Don't believe all the negative responses, its just spoil individuals who expects perfection in everything. The price is right the product is awesome! Update 4-1-13 This is not an April Fool :). Just want to say that, I never stop using this product despite the fact that I stop going to the fitness club. I did the Insanity workout for 10weeks, changed my eating habits and lost 20lbs in the 10 weeks. I was not a hugh person from the beginning, however, I felt "fat" weighing in at 154 lbs which is almost proportionate to my height of 5'6". 20 years ago, I weighed 134lbs, so its like I gained a pound a year. Now, I'm back down to 134lbs and have maintain it now going on 3-4 months. No fad diets, just, drink as much water for a total cleanse, eat only serving sizes of your food, Snack on fruit and cut your carbs down to 1/4. You need carbs to burn for fuel. I went back to my size 6 from a size 10. Nothing special, if you can't do the insanity exercise as most people can't write to me and I'm give you exercises to do at home. I only went to the health club to work the muscles in my back because it use to hurt all the time, but the insanity workout help me tremendously. No more health clubs for me Save money. I've always had a small waste, but this waist trimmer helps in all areas of the body, despite the fact that I did loose inches in my waste, its now just a more curvy hour glass :).

Many similar products have a Velcro-hook connector the extends almost the entire width of the belt. So with these other inferior products, as main belt material stretches a bit to get pulled tight, or if the user connected it the slightest bit off-center, the overlapping hook side rubs uncomfortably against your body. With this product, the smaller more-than-adequate center flap with the Velcro-style-hooks connects to the outer belt and won't extend over the main belt width. Properly worn, it is sturdy. The sewing connection the flap to the main belt is thorough -- if you keep pulling on it as if you're in a contest to see who can stretch the product the tightest, no amount of stitching would survive -- so you wear it like a tight bandage, loose enough to allow movement. Used as directed, it is comfortable, does the job, and lasts till I'll buy the next one (which is usually about a year or so of daily use). The main material is heavy enough to last, not the cheaper thinner quality seen on other products that get stretched out with normal use in very short time period. And since stretching makes the middle belt areas thinner, on those other same-priced-but-not-as-good products it is another reason the Velcro hooks extend beyond the belt width onto the users body. I have used products like this during exercise for many years: by keeping heat & minimal pressure around my lower back and mid-drift, I reduce pain and keep from causing an injury, especially in exercise that works on muscles in those areas. In product quality and fit, this does what I need, it does what it should be expected to do, with a belt weight and design that is just right to the job. I'm continually amazed at the expectations or beliefs some people hold that this would provide some type of miracle alteration of human anatomy without diet or exercise. It is not a miracle weight loss device, since any weight loss in its use is regained by drinking water. The tight belt can exert some small pressure to stomach muscles for a small waist size reduction reduction if accompanied by diet and exercise. If worn like a girdle all day long under clothes -- which isn't too smart, since it isn't a material for long term underwear use -- your stomach will pop back when you take it off. It helps me exercise longer, or better, and the pressure on my gut reminds me to eat less, which is the real weight loss secret. For what I need, I have tried many variations and brands of different types. This does it best for me.

Having been cursed with a bad back is a bit like sailing with no wind - frustrating and really slows you down. I have found that back braces retard muscle development and overall create dependency. These neoprene belts offer a tactile feel of support, buty also warmth that keeps the muscles loose and limber. I have had several and really wanted something wider than the average belt (maybe 8"). This was the widest belt i could find, but is a little thinner that i would prefer. Another irritant is that the velcro closure is the full width of the belt, so often it could rub and irritate your skin if you are not careful. But for me being taller - i love the width. It covers my whole Lumbar spine and gives me a feeling of being together. I will be rebuying this product but hope they improve the closure and the thickness.

For the price, this product is certainly a great deal! I've had this Yasco waist trimmer belt for a couple of weeks now, and I've worn it to most of my workouts. I was impressed by the quality of the belt. You can tell it is not made of cheap quality materials that easily rip or tear. I don't normally sweat a lot, so I was hoping that this would help me burn off a little bit of the excess water weight. I wear the belt directly on my abdomen just to get the extra sweat going. This definitely makes you sweat a lot, or just captures all the sweat within the belt. Either way, when working out, there is heat along with compression which helps increase the sweat factor. I wear this when I'm doing cardio, on the treadmill or elliptical, and even when wrapping it pretty tightly I don't experience much restriction to my movements or breathing, so it's comfortable. Within the few weeks that I've used this, I've seen a noticeable difference in the fat content of my abdomen, so something has to be working right! As for sizing, some reviews have mentioned that it runs small, and I would agree that if your waist size is above 38"-40" it probably might be more difficult to use. However, I would not depend on this belt as a back supporter. It gives pretty easily, but can help you sit/stand up straight! I also read some reviews complaining about itching, but I have not experienced any of that. To clean the belt is really simple - the instructions are on the package too. Just rinse with cold water, and with a little bit of soap. Overall, wonderful product, recommend for anyone wanting a little help in the tummy area. But remember, you have to put in the work to get results!

I got this to wear as a daily lightweight support brace after severely straining my lower back. I was in search something that was pretty narrow (height wise), flexible, and retains heat well to keep my muscles loose, and this one looked like it fit the bill perfectly. I just got it today and it fits me very well. I wear 34" waist pants, and there is about 6" of overlap when pulled tight. It gives just enough support while still being plenty flexible, so it seemed perfect. But when I pulled my shirt down over it that's when I noticed the big design flaw - the velcro closure! The issues is the area around the edges of the velcro strap are very jagged and rough, and that causes it to constantly snag on the inside of my shirt. I have been wearing it only about an hour and I already have 3 spots where it has snagged my shirt pretty badly, luckily it's on the inside so you can't see it. Granted I'm wearing a polyester shirt which is more prone to snagging than a thick cotton shirt would be, but if you plan to wear a thin cotton shirt or polyester/spandex shirt of this you need to be aware that it sill constantly snag the inside of the shirt! They could easily fix this problem by using a more finished/stitched edge around the perimeter of the velcro strap, but I'm guessing the reason they don't do that is because it would add an extra buck or so to the production cost. I would gladly pay that extra dollar to have a stitched edge around the velcro so it doesn't snag, then this would definitely be a 5-start product. But as it is I'll probably end up returning it due to this design flaw.

I purchased this belt for some light lumbar support. I'm not concerned about weight loss, so I will not be addressing that- other reviewers have. When I first opened up the package, there was an off-gassing smell from the neoprene. If chemical smells tend to bother you, then choose a ventilated place to open it. The smell dissipated within the first day. The belt arrived in a blue bag. The outer printing emphasized the weight loss aspect and I hoped that I remembered correctly that it could provide lumbar support. It did! The design of this belt is simple. The entire neoprene belt is covered with the "soft" part of velcro, and the large tab is the matching "grab" loops of velcro. All one needs to do is wrap it around and tighten as desired. The instructions state to wear this against the skin. I though that was just for the sweating / weight loss, so I tried wearing it over my clothes. That still worked pretty well for lumbar support. I'm pretty short-waisted, though, and found that it tend to creep up higher than I needed it to be. So, wearing it under the clothes really is better, as the neoprene "grabs" onto the skin better. The tab is sewn on remarkably well. One of my pictures shows the traditional box with an "x" inside, the accepted way to ensure that a piece will stay put. I used this on a day that had tremendous back fatigue. I had been working too long according to them, and the pain signals were distracting me from work. I put on the Bracoo Adjustable Belt for the first time, and couldn't believe how well it worked. It doesn't replace your muscles; you still must use them. They just have more support while you are working. This is a great way to help improve posture and learn to keep the back muscles straight while exercising, light housekeeping, etc. As a few hours went by, the belt was no longer enough. Up against a deadline, I called in my husband to wrap the belt tighter. He sure did. Now the belt was pretty much doing the job of my muscles. It worked, I finished the job, got it in and slept for 2 days! :) This belt really helped me to finish it up. I will be using it as I do housework, and as I exercise to make sure that I am taking good care of my lumbar spine. The effectiveness suggests to me that it's best not to use this constantly, as you might risk weakening the muscles that are getting the support. If muscles are fatigued, this may help to prevent injury if it is used right away. Like any reader of this review, I rely on Amazon reviews, too. Seeing great results on abs I have lost 2 inches in one month. I sweat out a lot of water using this method: Rub Albolene makeup remover cream all over your stomach, sides, and back. Next apply Saran wrap, I usually wrap it around 2-3 times. Put on your waist belt and do your workout. When I take my belt off in the shower it is extremely wet. The Saran wrap has water DRIPPING off like a small puddle! The Albolene helps the skin sweat and by adding the Saran wrap with waist belt. The thermogetic effect heats up in the stomach area. My fat cells are melting away. I can see muscle development, and my top abs are forming. My muffin top is almost gone. Back fat below bra area small amount almost unnoticeable. I would also add that this belt provides great support and improves your posture. I am going to continue using the belt with the Albolene cream and Saran wrap. If you are not seeing results at the gym. I would recommend getting this belt. If you want faster results I would add the Albolene cream and Saran wrap (b uy here on Amazon it is always out of stock at the store where I live). I have several back injuries from the military. I also am no longer in top physical shape and am in the process of starting a work out regiment to get back into shape. I wanted a slimmer for dual purposes. First, I wanted a continuous reminder to make sure I used proper mechanics when preforming exercises as well as an aid when exercising. Enter the Yasco Adjustable Waist Trimmer. I have tried several other slimmer belts. Those belts, unfortunately, only lasted a few weeks at most. The Yasco Adjustable Waist Trimmer is made of durable materials. It has double stitching and I can tell it was built to last. The velcro is sturdy and feels like it can be used and re-used without suffering a shortened lifespan. The excess of the belt is not tremendous and, when you continue with the wrap, it does not feel bulky or bunched up around your waist. While exercising and sweating a tremendous amount the belt stayed in place around my waist. I did not have to stop once to pull it down off my ribcage which sometimes occurs with others belts. The most important aspect of this belt, at least for me, was that it provided support for my waist and backside through each exercise and helped to continuously remind me to preform proper body mechanics. After exercising I had to rinse off and hang in the shower to dry because it was absolutely soaked and dripping with sweat. Overall a very important yet overlooked piece of equipment to ones work out gear. A worthwhile purchase I recommend.

Well designed and made. Excellent quality. Fits well. I have been using it for about two weeks. It is too early to say if it works but I do see a slight improvement in the waist line. I would recommend this product as it is of excellent quality.
