Best controller for PC gaming
I like to play my games with controller on PC. I've used controllers from PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Wii U, Steam, Xbox One and my favorite is Xbox One. It is more comfortable on my hands, buttons feel closer to fingers, the triggers have a really good feeling and their impulse feature (motor vibrating at each trigger) is awesome. The fact that it uses simple AA batteries and you can use rechargeable ones, makes life a lot easier to swap them when they are low or get damaged. My PS3's built in batteries are dead, they won't turn on or charge, my PS4s don't last more than 4 hours and after that I need to plug them and play with the cable in the middle, and probably in a couple of years they will be dead as my PS3s. I prefer easy removable batteries for this reason and because I can get AA rechargeable batteries with more capacity than built-in ones. Overall, you will get the best experience using Xbox controllers, and in some specific cases, the Steam one.

Nice Controller for PC Users
I don't own an Xbox One, so this review is mainly aimed at PC gamers: First of all, Microsoft released official PC drivers that allow you to connect an Xbox One controller (they're all both wireless and wired) to a PC using a micro-USB 2.0 cable. The drivers are on Windows Update at the time of this writing (July 2014), and using the USB cable seems to turn it into a pure, no-batteries-needed wired controller. It is also said to be compatible with all existing games that work with the Xbox 360 controller. From a speedrunner's perspective, the reduced dead zones on the joysticks, the wired responsiveness (I used to use wireless 360 controllers), and the more comfortable grip are awesome features of the Xbox One's controller. Oh, and the D-Pad. The D-Pad is amazing, wonderful, and a huge improvement over the 360's, especially if you're fond of Nintendo's D-Pads (they're very similar). I'd recommend trying one of these at a local game shop before buying here (Amazon's price is notably lower) to make sure you like it. It feels different from an Xbox 360 controller, so if you're coming from that it might be feel a bit weird at first. For me, the Xbox One controller is definitely more comfortable than its predecessor, and I only wish it were backwards compatible on console!

Great Controller with Smooth Performance, Just Missing Built-in Bluetooth.
Overall it's a high‑quality, reliable gamepad that delivers excellent value. The ergonomic design feels comfortable even during long sessions, the textured thumbsticks and responsive d‑pad offer crisp control, and the innovative Impulse Triggers add satisfying fingertip vibration feedback that enhances immersion. I also appreciate the built‑in 3.5 mm headset jack and the convenience of wireless firmware updates. On the downside, the lack of built‑in Bluetooth means you’ll need the Xbox Wireless Adapter (or a micro‑USB cable) to use it with PC, an extra purchase that’s a minor inconvenience for wireless gamers. Despite that, it’s a solid, premium controller that justifies a near‑perfect score.

Well built. I give it an A+ for quality.
Just like every XBox controller, this one is very well built and feels good in your hand. The item was shipped very quickly and was packaged well. I would absolutely order more Xbox One controllers from here. The unit came with zero defects. The Right and Left knobs feel sturdy and are very accurate. I was worried at first that they wouldn't hold up to the abuse I was putting on them but I have had no issues. every button on the controller is working and feels well built. The batterie life lasts me a few weeks with a few hours of game play most days. There is not an element on this controller that I am not very happy with. The last note I want to add is that this is not my only control that was purchased from here. EVERY controller is working the same. I would love to tell you how well dealing with issues worked out but I did not need to do that with this purchase. I would absolutely recommend this item to anyone who is in need of a good quality Xbox One controller.

Responsive, Comfortable, Reliable
Feel These new controllers feel great all around. You wouldn't think that a controller could improve much from the Xbox 360 but Microsoft figured it out. The sticks feel lighter and are much more responsive. The bumpers are positioned slightly differently which is nice in my opinion because to press them, I simply roll my finger up so I don't have to literally pick my finger up off the triggers to press them. The other buttons feel great as well. Another huge improvement is the grip on the sticks. The grip seems to last much longer and feels better than the older controllers. The plastic where your hands go feels very nice as well, it doesn't feel too slippery, even after hours of gameplay. The infared feature is nice too, the Xbox One can see who is playing depending on who is holding the controller. My favorite improvement would have to be the triggers with the new rumble feature. That improves the feel of the game 10-fold in my opinion. Its great to be playing a game like forza, slightly drifting off the track on the right or left side and the triggers will rumble accordingly making you feel more connected to the car in the game. The rumble changes according to what weapon you use in FPS too. I still have a couple Xbox 360's, when I play games on them such as halo, the controllers feel heavy and non-responsive compared to these new ones. Charge/reliability I bought the Nyko charge base which came with 2 rechargeable batteries, they last a very long time, much longer than the previous Xbox 360 controllers. I have put many hours into these controllers and so far they work just as well as they did the day I got them. Look These new controllers sure look slick. They center Xbox One logo has a very cool looking lumination that looks chrome when the light is off. The A,B,X, and Y buttons are one of the best looking features of the controller having a 3D inlay. The rest of the controller looks fantasic as well, with gloss and dull black plastic fused together, it looks agressive.

Contrarian objective review
Review for Xbox One Controller redesign vs 360: MS reportedly spend $100million on this thing. Is it a million dollar improvement over the 360? Nope. It's actually worse. And here's why. And I don't care what ANYONE ELSE says. I have a 150k gamerscore, but I'm NOT a fanboy and will always give my honest opinion. Always. NOTICEABLE PROS OVER 360: - none REPORTED IMPROVEMENTS OVER 360 CONTROLLER THAN I CAN'T REALLY TELL: - dpad (but they had already fixed this with the transforming dpad on 360 controllers) - thumbsticks / dead zones - I can't tell a difference. Respawn reportedly asked them to make it LESS sensitive - Lag / latency - I really can't tell a difference yet between this and the 360 controller after playing 6 One games... CONS: - it's bigger/wider. that's dumb. everyone hated the original DUKE controller and loved it when the went with the S controller originally for the Japanese market. The wideness of the controller forces my hands apart which makes this WAY LESS ERGONOMIC for me to hold over time. - I don't like the flatness and straight edge between the 2 handles. the 360 was rounded here and therefore more natural and ergonomic. - similar to the above, the absence of the externality of the battery gives my middle fingers nowhere to rest (previously the rested up against the battery). Now they go nowhere or have to force grip the controller to hold on... - shoulder buttons (bumpers) are CLEARLY UNDENIABLY WORSE! They only press in on 1-side, the outside, not the inside. Anyone used to being able to press the 360 bumpers anywhere you touch it will notice this and raise an eyebrow. I have no idea why they would do this. The bumpers were fine previously - start and back were renamed to random line thingie and square shapey thingies. what in the hell is that about? are the lines supposed to be a bunch of lines on a MENU??? Then why not call it MENU. It's weird - the dpad now only has 4 points are articulation. the original 360 had 8 (which yes would occasionally get mispressed) but now you'll have to press 2 of the points at once to get the same functionality of the 8 (if developers care about such things). - the way the plastic casing is screwed and glued together (yes even this) is worse. it's WEAKER at the seams. The original 360 controller was completely SOLID here. I'm constantly gripping the ONE controller harder because of all the reasons above which often makes the plastic casing collapse in slightly. This sucks. I could end up breaking this thing at some point. It's not as bad as the very plasticy PS3 controller, which I feel like I could break in half, but the build is not as solid as the 360 controller. - the "wireless" tech still forces nearly all compatible headsets to be WIRED at least in some fashion. I have no idea why MS thinks users are a fan of having a wireless controller + a wireless headset, but with a big stupid wire connecting the two. It's a problem with the ONE console in general itself, but it should mentioned here... THE SHORT OF IT: The 360 was a flat out better controller. That being said, the ONE controller is a solid controller and will obviously work correctly. There's no reason to flunk it over nitpicks. Review for Titanfall Controller Only: For those of you wondering if the overpriced $64.99 Xbox One Titanfall controller includes an actual rechargable battery, it doesn't. Also, the regular batteries included with mine were DOA. Pretty lame for $65. Otherwise, it is obviously identical to the One controller. The Titanfall skin reminds me quite a bit of Mass Effect's design aesthetic and is quite beautiful. Unrelated but also similarly lame is that the Xbox One Titanfall console bundle doesn't even include this controller or any kind of unique skin of it's own (actually the OUTER box appears to have a Titanfall skin - so your storage closet will be happy to look at it - yippy?) Pretty lame all around...I saw design skins for the console months ago, but they must not have had time to get it done...Whole thing sounds thrown together at the last minute.

Top Quality Refined Controller
The Xbox One controller is a small refinement to an already excellent design, it’s not so much an evolution as the Dual Shock 4 was for the PlayStation 4. The batteries for the device now fit seamlessly into the design, no longer protruding out. Using two standard AA batteries I have yet to drain them in well over a week’s worth of playtime, it’s quite impressive. The thumbsticks are more rigid, solid, and less slippery than before. The triggers feel good, though the bumper’s new clicky design I like slightly less. It’s weird to not have a start and option button, instead two strange symbols adorn the controller where they’d normally be. The d-pad is a big improvement as well, though it does have a cheap plasticy feel to it. The biggest change to the controller isn’t the most obvious one. It’s the inclusion of rumble into the triggers themselves. It’s damn amazing. You’ll feel tires slip and grip in Forza 5 or you’ll feel the band of the bow as you release an arrow in Ryse. It’s similar to old school PC gaming force feedback, but not as pronounced and definitely more detailed. I like the Xbox One controller a bit more than the original Xbox 360, though I do feel at times my hands get fatigued faster.

Fantastic controller. I had a 360 wired controller for ...
Fantastic controller. I had a 360 wired controller for years and with the Xbox it worked perfectly but every time I played with the old controller on the PC it would switch from player 1 to player 2 and 4...bought three controllers and used them on multiple computers. Never fixed it. SO I bought this controller crossing my fingers that Microsoft would have fixed the issue...AND THEY DID. No more issues with the controller I can play anything and never have to worry about faulty drivers or the low quality of the device. Now the Next Gen Controllers look and feel like a true winner. I have some minor gripes with it, mainly the weird thumb-stick covers but you can get cheap covers for a buck online so other then that the Triggers are significantly better giving the user more space to maneuver. The D-Pad has been completely redesigned and I can tell you even if you dont think it will make a difference simply moving through windows or inventory screens has become a dream. Weird not having a Start and Select button but tis the future so might as well have some random icons. I wish they would remove the XBox branding and leave it as a Microsoft Product. Same goes for the consoles Microsoft One sounds a hell of a lot better than Xbox One.
