Xikar Humidification Kit - 250ct Humidifier, 8oz Solution

Great product. I had been running Boveda 75 / 72 packets in New England winter and they just weren't quite cutting it this year. Replacing my stock floral foam with a Xikar and PG solution humidifier got the job done. I've been running at 69% / 70% since replacing and my cigars have that nice fresh "squish" to them since. Love it.

I ordered this up for use in a 100 ct humidor. A little overkill, but it fits where the green foam one did and maintains my humidity perfectly. Use it with the Xikar formulated solution as recommended and you'll get exactly what you need out of it.

Two stars instead of one because it does maintain humidity, but sadly not 70. I bought this after many experiences with a variety of elements.The last being a $10 one that I used with two small Boveda 72 packets, this worked fine, but I had to check often in drier weather. I have a 100-125 CAO humidor, I purchased the Xikar 250 unit to insure longer periods of time between maintenance. I still have the Boveda packs at the bottom. Since I installed it over 3 weeks ago, I have been consistently in the low 60s for humidity. No matter how saturated I keep it with their solution, it won't budge. So much for pricier units being better.

Good humidifier, but I checked it with my digital hygrometer the other day and it said 78%. It is supposed to maintain 70% and is not doing a good job as a 2-way humidifier. Maybe I read the description wrong...

The kit was great and even came preseasoned so all I had to do was just install it! I really like that it will keep a constant humidity range in the 70-72% for over a month! The little green foam ones were a constant PITA!

Put two of these in my 24 bottle wineador and it keeps a full unit at 70 percent no problem. What a great solution!
