*HooToo USB C hubs do not support iPad Pro 2018. All-in-One Type-C Hub Ever noticed that the most recent devices feature less and less ports to connect additional peripherals? By featuring a total of 6 ports the HooToo Type-C Hub further expands the potential of your MacBook Pro or Type-C Windows laptop. Uniformly integrated in the metal build are 1 x Ethernet port, 1 x Type-C charging output, 1 x HDMI port, and 3 x USB 3.0 ports. Integrated Ethernet Port While Wireless connectivity is the future, most users will argue that it¡¯s not yet on par with the stability of a wired internet access. Implemented in the HooToo USB C Adapter is an Ethernet port so even your Type-C laptops without an Ethernet input can benefit from a more stable, wired internet connection up to 1 Gbps. Charges Type-C Devices With just one Type-C input to recharge, the latest MacBook Pro and USB-C powered Windows devices feel limited in terms of what they can do while powering up. The HooToo Hub features a Type-C input so you can charge your devices up to 100W even while multiple peripherals are connected and data is being transferred. Crisp 4K Video Reproduction Mirroring or extending a device¡¯s screen often suffers from image lag and synchronization delay. The in-unit HDMI port allows you to conveniently view crisp 4K UHD or Full HD 1080p videos on HDTV, secondary monitors, or projectors. 3 x USB 3.0 Ports If you¡¯re like most PC users, you rely on your device to get stuff done. Featuring three additional USB 3.0 ports the HooToo Type-C Hub will equip your MacBook Pro or Type-C powered Windows laptop with a keyboard, mouse, flash drive, and other USB-A enabled peripherals. Lot's of network errors and lockups - Ethernet Version HT-UC007
We have purchased over 100 of these hootoos for our apple and pc's. We have had all kinds of network instability and after months of troubleshooting with the network equipment engineers, we found that hootoo sends out pause packets/frames when its not connected to a pc or mac. Thousands of pause frames. These pause frames at layer 2 are for flow control. When the switch that has flow control enabled receives this, it stores all of the traffic bound for that mac address until the device stops sending the pause frames. So if the hootoo is on, connected to the network, but not connected to a PC or Mac...it fills the network buffers causing all sort of issues with your network switches. There is a driver update on their website that disables the flow control, but it only works if installed on every single mac. It does not update the firmware for the device. The same device plugged into another pc or mac without the fix will resume sending out the pause frames. And there is no firmware fix apparently. I am in the process of ordering hundreds of replacement from a different brand that does not have this problem. There is nothing that would pay for all of the time lost with networking issues as a result of the bad design of this adapter. If you must use it1) don't use an external power adapter so it powers off completely when disconnected from the computer2) use the version that does not have a network jack3) disconnect the power from it when not in useNot too many users will actually follow these instructions, so you are better off replacing them.

Works perfectly with ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe. No Issues!
This hub works perfectly with the ASUS ZenBook 3 Deluxe with charging specs: 20V, 3.25A, 65W. The HooToo was tested using a Satechi USB-C Power Multi-meter (ASIN: B01MT8MC3N), and a TACKLIFE MUT01 USB Tester (ASIN: B074QCYQJ5). I tested the electrical ports and USB-3 ports on the hub and the computer before and after attaching the hub. The port tests on the hub and on the computer were identical. These tests confirmed that "Power Delivery" through the hub works exactly as expected.and described by HooToo.Next, I put two USB-3 portable hard drives on the hub, and an uncharged reserve battery pack on one of the ZenBook's USB-C ports. I performed a copy of a 3GB file on the drives simultaneously, while the battery pack was charging. There was an increase to the amps being used, but the activity never pushed any limits. The file copies completed without issue. This simple stress test passed all of my criteria for success.I plugged in a Gigabit Ethernet cable from my router, to the hub. A connection to the Internet was immediate and sustained full speed uploads and downloads.I have not tried the HDMI port yet.I did not have to install any drivers to accommodate the HooToo hub. This dandy little hub from HooToo has fully lived up to every expectation I have. Good job HooToo!

Power Delivery + Ethernet + Unplugged from Laptop = Complete Network Failure
Edit: The replacement version of this is good. https://www.amazon.com/HooToo-Adapter-Delivery-Ethernet-Readers/dp/B07SHR5JKR/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=HT-UC009&qid=1568763596&sr=8-1 However, the company sent me the replacement to change this review. I won't be doing that. THIS specific product is still crap. It is a one star product. I will be doing a good review of the new version. This is completely unusable if you want Ethernet and Power Delivery. As others have reviewed, when unplugging from the laptop, with Ethernet and power connected, it brought down our entire network. I'm running a Ubiquity EdgeRouter with Ubiquity AP, 24 port switch, to an 8 port switch. This killed all ethernet and WiFi for the ENTIRE NETWORK. When I just unplugged the ethernet cable from this device (and left powered), the network immediately came back.I did not research why, but I believe others are correct in some type of packet storm going on. This is going back and I'm looking for a replacement. Completely useless if I have to unplug more cables each time.

Great USB C Hub for both the newer USB C macs and PC's although it's a little on the expensive side IMO
I bought this to replace my current USB-C hub because it doesn't have enough USB A 3.0 ports. The box came packaged really well in thick foam and the hub itself is well made and beautifully designed. I like the fact that it's made out of metal compared to a cheaper plastic USB-C adapter I bought. Much like my older Hub, this comes supplies power, HDMI, and USB-A, however, the HooToo USB-C Hub also includes Ethernet and 3 instead of 1 USB A ports. The Hub itself is thin, sleek with rounded edges, made from metal, and space grey in color. The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that it's 60 dollars excluding taxes and the "HooToo" light on the top. Overall I'm really happy with the purchase.

WARNING: Review bribing
Edit: Warning! HooToo has tried to bribe me (and others) to remove my review by refunding me for my purchase. I chose to leave this review in place because, even with a refund, the review is still accurate. This means that there are potentially other negative reviews which have been removed. You have been warned. This is for the HT-UC007. First, I agree with everyone about the cord being way too short. But, more importantly, I am only able to connect one device to the USB port. When I plug in more than one device, the whole device starts turning on and off. Even when the devices are not powered by the hub, I still have this issue. I even returned one and got it replaced, but the same thing is happening. I have a 2018 15" MacBook Pro. Lastly, this does not properly carry power to the laptop. When I plug in my power adapter to the hub, my MacBook says that it's not charging. Often, I find that the laptop battery is draining, even when it's plugged into the hub. Now, I have to use an extra port for power. Very disappointing. I should have just used the cheap $5 usb-c adapters.

Impressed. Works as described
For the price, this little thing is solid and works just as described. Full ethernet speed! that's what I was looking for. usb connections seem strong and consistent. hdmi out worked great. power delivery worked too (passthrough only, you need a separate usb c power adapter). It does get hot and the light up logo is a little much for my tastes. I only used it for a week. I ended up returning and getting a dell d6000 as I now need multiple monitors. I must admit It was hard to let go of the hootoo. I like this little silver shuttle. The colour matches dell inspiron perfectly. One more note, I tested 3 different usb c extension cables and none of them work with this hub. this seems to be a common issue and the built in cables are mighty short on these products.

Finally USB-C Freedom!
Kudos HooToo for this product! I tried a couple of other similar products lately and was extremely disappointed. This one I liked "out of the box". HDMI works perfectly, wireless devices too and without lagging (two major issues with the products I tested - once the mouse pointer goes to the secondary screen, it feels like a wireless device from 90's).Little bit $$$ for the casing material quality, but it's worth money for now. It has been connected with power supply on for hours now and it is not even warm yet (another issue with previously tested devices). As I am very excited currently, I will post again if I observe any issues. Cheers!

Reliable, good build quality, Best hub for Macbook- USB C Line Charging, Ethernet, HDMI, 3 USB ports
Pros- Good quality build & cable, multi-functional -3 standard USB ports, 1 HDMI, 1 ethernet &1 USB C port. It supports line charging- use the hub to charge Macbook, iPhone or other accessories. All ports can be used in parallel. The Mac detects devices through the hub so it makes it easy to sync with iTunes, data transfers etc. USB mouse, dongles etc work too.Cons - It has a HooToo logo lit up that is always on, the seller does not clearly state the warranty - it is 12 months if you register online in India and 18 months in the US.I have been using the product for more than a month and is the same product available in the US store, sold by the original manufacturer. I evaluated multiple options at different price points including Amazon Basics and settled on this. If you want a value for money product, priced at the same rates as in the US and has all the usual ports. It does not show up as the top choice on Amazon and the seller can definitely do a better job highlighting the key features.

Good product - Works perfectly
All the ports connected perfectly. Good product. minor improvements from my side -1) Ports were a little tight - especially the USB. Please see if that could be done a little better.2) The wire connecting the hub to the Macbook I own was a little shorter than expected. It was about 5-6 inches. I think a little longer would be better.

USB-C input supports charging only!
This isn't very clear from the description, although you can infer it if you look at the picture carefully. The USB-C input on this hub only supports power transfer but not video. I have another similar USB hub (by a different brand) which supports video but not charging. Looks like it is hard to find a USB C hub with a fully functional USB C input. Otherwise the product is functional.
