OK, 3 and a half years. I just found from my Amazon history that I bought it in November 2015. There was not much choice of glass kettles (and still isn't, for some strange reason).It looks good, works well and is a breeze to clean. Unlike some other kettle I bough in the past, it stops automatically when you lift it off the base and does not continue boiling when you put it back - a big plus when you pour all water out.The on/off switch is starting to show signs of wearing out. You can turn it on but not off, you have to lift it off the base and put it back. Other than that, no issues.

My positive review has largely to do with the excellent customer service provided by CSL-Computer, who sells this product. While the kettle worked perfectly well, looked good and felt value for money (even though it appears to be a hard-water magnet - that's just because you can see the build-up rather than it being hidden inside a container), the switch unfortunately broke just before the warranty period expired. Upon contacting the seller, the supplier was very responsive, and after a brief exchange they replaced the kettle (it took about a week to ship from a depot in Germany). No hassles with proving that I hadn't somehow abused the poor kettle or some-such nonsense. Obviously this would be a major spherical ache if you have no backup kettle, but I endured to boil another day.

The kettle works well, it lights up when it is working, it has good volume capacity and I am pleased with it. I also like the fact it is made of stainless steel. The lid opening is a little small but if you're careful, you can pour water into it without any difficulty.The only thing I noticed it that the side lever which is used to turn it on works only when you switch the kettle on. In order to switch it off before the water is boiling, I need to lift the kettle up to switch it off. However, if you leave it to boil on its own, it does switches off automatically, so that's not a big problem at all. Yet overall, I am pleased with my purchase and I would recommend it to other customers.

Update 13months after purchase: The on/off switch just broke, seems like a cheap plastic lug has snapped, all I did was switch it on. 24 days out of warranty, so its going in the bin. Has been a decent kettle up until now but clearly poor quality.Original review after 1 month below:Nice but not sure its worth 40 pound. Looks pretty and seems to be well made, but a few minor design issues:- Lid doesn't open fully for filling so you need to hold with tap between lid and opening ather than just under the tap.- Wobbles on the base when boiling hard. Probably safe but looks slightly worrying.- Not as quick to boil as my old kettle, which had same wattage.- When pouring, water comes through lid as well as spout so you have to pour slowly.Good point: looks good, handles well, extra filters included.

I am like a lot of other people I normally go and buy a brand name kettle but going of reviews I thought I will give this kettle a go and I am glad I did it is a gem of a kettle well made looks good when lit up but its all glass on the in side apart from the filter and I have never had a glass one before it dose not leak and it pours out perfect as well and you get the extra guarantee e mailed to you from the company and nice thank you for buying their product it is German made and I do think it is a very good quality product and I would but again.

The good is it boils quick enough, looks great and feels good quality. The bad is the top lid / metal surround is molten hot once boiled. Also the pouring spout is quite small / narrow so if you over-tip the kettle to speed up the flow of water boiling water flows through the lid! It's not a good design at all.So looks and boiling ability it is excellent, in terms of safety / design it's questionable.

I should have read the reviews properly before ordering. I glanced at the 5* reviews and thought it must be a fab kettle, but if you read the reviews they were only left after receiving the kettle for a 'reduced' price.Now onto the actual review. Yes the kettle does look nice, however the blue light up feature only works intermittently. It sometimes lights up half way through a boil, sometimes not at all. I've only had it a day, I can't imagian it how it'd hold up over a long period of time. I'll be returning this kettle and sticking to a known brand.

Really nice kettle! Well made and good quality. Not very noisy and boils quickly enough (1L takes approx. 3mins). Measures 9"/ 23cm high,6 1.4"/16cm across base, 9"/23cm width including handle. Empty kettle weighs 2 lbs 6 oz/1.085g. Kettle with 1L water in weighs 5lb 1oz/2.301g. Flex is 29"/73cm long when fully unwound and 18"/46cm long when wound once around underside of base. Came with 3 spare lime scale filters for inside spout (having filter in place helps prevent hot water spurting from spout when kettle is full and water boiling). Glass does condensate when kettle has hot water in it, but if this bothers you, let water cool and then give kettle a swirl and condensation clears. Lime scale does show quite quickly in hard water areas. Wondered what the difference 2200w would make over 3000w, but I've not noticed any difference in performance to my old 3000w kettle. On/off switch is quite thin plastic, but it's the same as with most kettles these days. Arrived day after ordered.Note: Easy and non-toxic way to descale kettle: Buy packet of Citric Acid from chemist. Add 1 teaspoon to kettle of water. Bring to boil and leave overnight. If Kettle is heavily lime scaled, re-boil as many times as is needed, until all lime scale has gone.
