As machined the Half Checker pattern provides a Medium Light Texture. I personally make them on a CNC mill. They are CNC machined to exact tolerances from a billet piece of G10. If your not familiar with G10 its roughly 10% heavier than carbon fiber and as strong as 6061 aluminum. But much more resistant to wear and tear.
