Sovtek 12AX7WC Preamp Tube

Brought a few of these for my JSX and Triumph 120. I found that by replacing the pre-amp tubes with these, my amps were able to achieve a richer sound particulary on the low band end.

I've been trying to find that perfect preamp tube to install into my Blackstar HT-1R for some time. I've gone through Mullards, Tung Sols, Electro-Harmonix's and even other Sovteks. Honestly Sovtek was the major winner giving me that crisp, American style brightness I crave. And sadly, the Sovtek settled on was the stock one. But after my Sovtek 12AX7WA burned out, I needed a replacement. So I did some homework and learned about the retooled 12AX7WC that has similar tonal properties with a brighter frequency response. Upon installing it, I noticed a clear difference. This was definitely the winner, for my kind of sound, that should go into all Blackstar amps. I can't recommend this tube enough for that amp circuit.
