Don't buy this piece of garbage
Amazon needs to allow zero stars for products this bad. A complete piece of garbage that failed to stay latched down with bread in the slot and the power cord in the socket. Don't waste your money. Why any company would waste the plastic, metal, electronics and labor that goes into something like this by creating a product that is garbage straight out of the box is beyond my comprehension, but it is far too common these days. Companies like Oster have no pride in what they produce. And they do not care that they are destroying the planet by generating industrial waste in the process of creating an item the is garbage the minute it arrives in the consumers hands. And it's not like the toaster or the electromechanical interlock is a fancy new technology they have yet to get the hang of. These things have been around for three quarters of a century yet Oster has no clue how to produce them in a manner that works consistently.

Cord is short
The toaster works fine. The only issue I have is the power cord. It is really short. We have to push the toaster up against the wall for the cord to reach the electrical socket. Otherwise, the toaster is lightweight, easy to use and easy to store.

It's hard to love an inexpensive toaster, but I do.
I've been missing toast but not enough to overspend on an off-brand at a local shop. So, I decided to wait a bit longer and order the Oster. The wait was well worth it as my first slices came out perfectly toasted. The simple and seemingly durable construction is a plus, too.

Best blenders on the market
I'm a big fan of Oster, own several of their small appliances. Best blenders on the market. Anyway I trans ship from the US to my home in the overseas so I need 220V. This worked great right out of the box but after 2 months it quit. Since I can't ship it back from here I had an electrical guy try to fix it. He took it apart and there are electronics inside the hot toaster and they had died, doh. So since there is an excellent age old mechanical system of metal expansion why did Oster decide to fix what works by putting electronics inside the plastic casing of a hot toaster? The electronics inside the toaster didn't just die, they were cooked.Bad move on the electronics Oster, I would have thought the bloody obvious might have caused somebody's brain bulb to light up, but no.

Terrible toaster.
The push down mechanism doesn't lock 90% of the time, The bread is not toasted evenly when it finally does stay down.

great quality
You cannot find this kind of quality overseas. Excellent toaster, no more ruined bread from manufacturers who don't eat bread!
